G&S Exclusive Maserati 4200 Evo Exterior. The nose of the sports coupé, refined by G&S EXCLUSIVE to become the ‘Maserati 4200 Evo’ is dominated by a front fender that replaces the original part, and which, with its cool air duct gaping wide-open, is reminiscent of the current Maserati-Coupé GranTurismo. It’s no wonder, as the entire radiator grille comes straight from that model. The trident emblem of the mark, as well as the lighting units (fog lights, parking lights and blinkers), have been retained from the original front fender. G&S has additionally mounted a brand new engine bonnet with striking curvature and exhaust outlets for warm air.

For many Maserati fans, the ‘update’ of the rear lights in the 2001 introduction of the new model Maserati 4200 GT, replacing the Maserati 3200 GT, was a real step backwards: The curved arching lights on the 3200 GT that had so much character were replaced in the facelift to the 4200 GT by lighting units that were far less sophisticated. G&S EXCLUSIVE has simply reversed this unloved upgrade and re-configured the entire rear end of the 4200 GT using the rear lights from the Maserati 3200 GT as well as a new boot lid to resemble the look of the 3.2-litre coupé. In addition, G&S has tightened the rear section of the coupé with a new rear fender whose powerful diffuser would be a credit and an honour to any GT racing car

G&S Exclusive Maserati 4200 Evo Engines and Transmissions. Utilize the shared platform based Ferrari/Maserati 4244 cc engine which develops 390 PS (287 kW; 385 hp) at 7000 rpm with a peak torque of 450 N·m (332 lb·ft) at 4500 rpm.

The engine operates at a compression ratio of 11.1:1 with the cylinders configured in a 90° V8. The cylinder bore diameter is 92 millimetres (3.62 in) and piston stroke length is 80 millimetres (3.15 in). The engine shares many of the design features of modern racing engines, including dry sump lubrication, a pump assembly located outside the crankcase, and four valves per cylinder. The 32-valve DOHC utilizes chain-driven, twin-overhead camshafts that provide valve actuation in less than 0.15 seconds, with the intake cams being controlled by variable valve timing. The crankcase and cylinder heads are made from an aluminum and silicon alloy, giving the engine a relatively light weight of 405 pounds (184 kg).
